Designed with a cardioid pickup pattern for isolation and feedback control, the D6 is equipped with a VLM™ diaphragm for natural, accurate sound reproduction. Lightweight, compact and easy to position, the D6 is an excellent choice for miking instruments requiring extended low frequency reproduction such as kick drums, large toms and bass cabinets. The Audix D6 is a professional high-end dynamic instrument microphone with a cardioid characteristic. The patented capsule with VLM type E membrane offers a wide, accurate and very dynamic sound reproduction of the recorded instrument. Due to the extended frequency range from 30 Hz to 15 kHz and a max. SPL of 144 dB, the D6 is predestined for low-frequency and very percussive instruments such as the kick drum.
