The SVT® is the undisputed king of all-tube bass speakers, but also the legendary one V-4B has its place in the pantheon. Sometimes 300 watts and 80 pounds are too much - that's where the V-4B comes into play. It delivers 100 watts of pure tube sound and weighs only half as much as an SVT. It also has a grind and sound structure all its own - if you love the rich overdrive sound of power tubes, this is the amp for you. In developing the Ampeg V-4B, a variety of vintage V-4B amplifiers were sampled for reference purposes, with the aim of achieving preamp and power amp circuits and an overall sound that is undeniably V-4B. However, using a modern analog approach has increased both reliability and ease of maintenance. A targeted selection of modern features includes an integrated DI with grou.
