The worst thing to buy a beginner is a bad guitar. This Ibanez package offers playable quality at a value-for-money price and there are no extras to buy!
Features of the Ibanez V-50 Jam Pack Acoustic Guitar
Tuners - These are covered but not sealed with large and positive feeling knobs. They work well and hold their tuning.
Headstock - Nice black-faced three-a-side with screen-printed Ibanez logo.
Nut - The white plastic nut abuts the fretboard and is tidily finished.
Neck - Nice, medium slim neck that fills the hand in a comfortable way. The gloss finish makes it smoothly playable.
Fretboard - Light brown dry rosewood fretboard with traditional dot markers in pearloid.
Frets - The thin profile frets are nicely finished at the ends. It's easy to achieve a good positive fretting of the strings without any buzzing.
Action - This is often the bane of beginner's guitars but the Ibanez scores well with very easy fretting up to the seventh, which is where the beginner spends most of their time.
Body - Traditional Dreadnought style with a spruce top on agathis back and sides. The agathis is a deep glowing brown which is highly attractive.
Bridge - Traditional rosewood saddle with plastic bridge compensated at the second string (this helps the strings play in tune right the way up the fretboard). White plastic bridge pins anchor the strings.
Pickguard - Single-ply black plastic teardrop style.
Strap-buttons - There's one nice solid looking metal button on the bottom of the body. The other end of the strap must be tied to the headstock.
Finish - There are minor flaws if you look hard enough but Ibanez are delivering an awful lot of kit for the cost so these can be overlooked.

The Jam Pack guitar delivers a nice basic well-balanced acoustic guitar sound, perfect for the beginner to begin developing an ear and a feel for world of guitars.
