The Sennheiser EW172 G2 wireless system transmitters and receivers ship with nine channel banks with four switchable UHF frequencies each. Channel banks 1-8 have four switchable channels that are factory preset to a transmission/receiving frequency. Channel U, the user bank, has four switchable channels to store your selection out of 1440 transmission/receiving frequencies that are freely selectable within the preset frequency range. Factory preset frequencies mean the systems are ready for immediate use, and several wireless systems can be operated simultaneously on the preset channels without causing interference.

The Sennheiser EW172 G2 Instrument Wireless System provides reliable dropout-free signal reception with complete freedom of movement at up to 150 feet. Based around the Sennheiser EM 100 rackmount true-diversity UHF receiver, the Sennheiser G2 model has 2 removable telescopic antennas, and includes the tiny SK 100 G2 bodypack transmitter, which features a 1/4-inch electric guitar, bass, and other instruments input jack and provides all critical info on its built-in LCD.
