Thanks to progress in miniaturization, the M-Audio MicroTrack II in the same class as M-Audio's critically acclaimed pro audio interfaces. MicroTrack's pro-quality preamps complete with 48-volt phantom power will work with pro quality condenser microphones. Record audio all the way up to 24-bit/96kHz on the linear PCM format, or directly to compressed MP3 files. With a built-in recharagle lithium-ion battery, the MAudio MicroTrack II will give you approximately four to five hours of battery life, or three hours with +48 volt phantom power being used.

Rugged, highly mobile and lithium-ion battery powered, the M-Audio MicroTrack II is a high-fidelity 2-channel digital recorder that makes on-the-spot recording unbelievably easy. The MicroTrack II can record up to 5 hours of either uncompressed WAV or compressed MP3 file format audio to the not included CompactFlash or microdrive memory cards via 2 balanced 1/4-inch TRS mic/line or stereo 1/8" TRS mini-jack inputs. The 1/4-inch inputs offer 48V phantom power for condenser microphones, while the 1/8" input has 5V power to feed the supplied stereo T-shaped electret microphone. Or use the S/PDIF coaxial input for direct digital transfers. Level meters, analogue input limter, and 1/8-inch heaphone inputs ensure everything sounds right. LCD screen lets you select and play files easily. Record approx. 100 minutes of linear 16-bit stereo 44.1kHz WAV files to a 1GB CompactFlash card or Microdrive. The same 1GB media will store 1500 minutes of speech-quality comprerssed stereo MP3 audio at 96kbps. NO CompactFlash card or Microdrive supplied.
