The Novation nio 2|4 is a mobile 2-input / 4-output USB audio and MIDI interface designed for modern musician's home recording, live performance and DJ-ing. Novation Direct FX ultra-low latency effects mean all built-in effects (guitar amp simulations, filters, delay, chorus, phaser, flanger, distortion, EQ, Reverb, Tremelo, etc..) can be used in real time. Novation nio 2|4 provides MIDI In/Out and is also class compliant with both Mac and PC, connecting via USB and powering the Novation nio 2|4 via the USB bus.

The Novation nio 2|4 offers 1 balanced XLR input with phantom power for microphones, 1 unbalanced Hi-Z instrument input for direct inputing guitars and basses, and stereo RCA phono inputs. Four RCA phono outputs with flexible metering and two headphone outputs make the Novation nio 2|4 ideal for laptop DJs and live performers. The Novation nio 2|4 is class compliant with PC and MAC OSX Core Audio.
