Essentially a two-track studio you can hold in your hand, the Edirol R-09HR WAV/MP3 recorder offers 24-bit/96kHz resolution and a built-in stereo condenser mic that ensures precise audio recordings of live music, rehearsals, and those moments of musical inspiration. A large OLED display and wireless remote provide control over features such as Split mode, Speed, and Reverb make the Edirol R-09HR a very handy device for field recording. Broadcasters, podcasters, and journalists will appreciate its built-in limiter/auto gain control, level meters, peak indicators, and non-slip rubber-coated body. The Edirol R-09HR also lets you transfer files to a PC via USB and master with the included Cakewalk Creator software for Windows Vista.

Based on the Edirol R-09 handheld recorder, the Edirol R-09HR is capable of recording at high-resolution bit-depths and sample rates up to 24-bit/96kHz. Adaptive Recording Circuit ensures internal noise is kept to a minimum. The R-09HR is perfect for multiple recording applications ranging from rehearsals, recitals, concerts, interviews, podcasts, research, to nature and field recording, and business meetings.

The Edirol R-09HR handheld digital recorder gives you up to 24-bit/96kHz audio without compression to a removable SD (512mb card included FREE) or high-def SDHC memory card. Thr R-09HR can also record and play back high-quality MP3s. The R09HR uses dual built-in electret condenser microphones for crytstal-clear sound capture, and you can use the included wireless remote to control it! Monitor via the miniature stereo phone output via headphones, or use the on-board preview speaker to monitor your recordings. A high speed Mini-B type USB 2.0 port transfers audio files to your computer. Cakewalk pyro Audio Creator LE editing software is bundled with the Edirol R-09HR.

The R-09HR supports up to 24-bit/96kHz linear PCM recording, which has over twice the digital audio resolution of a standard audio CD. I.A.R.C. Isolated Adaptive Recording Circuit is a dedicated analogue circuit optimized for recording with the R-09HR's onboard A/D converter to minimize self-generated noise. Electrolytic capacitors provide stable, reliable power with an independent power source for the analogue circuitry, and another power source for the digital circuit board, thus eliminating DC interference between analogue and digital components in the R-09HR. The I.A.R.C. also contributes to high-quality, low-noise MP3 recording with the R-09HR.

A stereo electret condenser microphone is built right into the Edirol R-09HR, complete with a dedicated analogue input control, mono/stereo selector, low-cut filter, limiter / AGC Auto Gain Control, and gain boost. The onboard electret condenser microphone elements are compact, highly-sensitive, and placed to capture a three-dimensional sound image naturally and accurately. To further avoid possible noise interference from internal components, the microphone housing is separated from the main circuit board. External microphones can also be used with the R-09HR's 1/8-inch stereo mic input.

Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket, the Edirol R-09HR also has a user-friendly graphic display for easy operation. The large 1.5-inch OLED Organic Light-Emitting Diode display provides a wide view including easy-to-see level meters, peak indicators, and additional recording information. The R-09 HR rear panel preview speaker allows monitoring without headphones. With the included wireless remote controller, transport functions such as recording start/playback start, fast forward, rewind, volume control, and input level control can be operated from a distance. This allows the Edirol R-09HR to be placed in exactly the right position for recording, and allows for quick and easy hands-free operation.

The Edirol R-09HR supports USB 2.0 mass storage transfers, so audio file transfers to a computers are quick and convenient. Included with the R-09HR is Cakewalk's pyro Audio Creator LE software, perfect for WAV/MP3 audio file editing. Trim, cut, or fade audio sections, burn audio collections to CD, publish a webpage with sounds, publish a blog with audio, podcast an interview or performance, and so on. With pyro, the Edirol R-09HR package becomes a complete recording solution suite, from recording to CD burning.
