The M-Audio Fast Track 8R is a high-speed USB 2.0 interface featuring eight of M-Audio's acclaimed Octane microphone preamps, so you can easily record an entire band at 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Plus, the FastTrack 8R's onboard MX Core DSP technology offers you flexible channel routing, monitor submixing, and even effects routing, all at a super price point. Plus, the Fast Track Ultra 8R ships with a copy of Ableton Live Lite recording software so you can get starting writing, recording, and producing your music with the M-Audio Fast Track 8R right away.

M-Audio's Octane microphone preamps have received critical acclaim for their open, natural sound. The Fast Track 8R is equipped with eight channels of Octane pres. The inputs are actually combo jacks, giving you the flexibility to choose between mic and line level inputs, and each preamp features a 20dB pad, as well as +48V phantom power for use with studio condenser mics. The first two analogue inputs feature 1/4-inch Hi-Z inputs for electric guitars, basses, and instruments.

The MAudio Fast Track Ultra 8R features MX Core DSP technology that allows you to monitor with effects while you're recording, so you can enjoy the polish and sheen reverb and digital delay add to your tracks. Plus, the MX Core DSP technolgoy actually processes eight hardware inputs and eight software returns to the FastTrack 8R's eight hardware outputs, expanding its mixing I/O to an impressive 16 x 8 configuration. Route channels inside the Fast Track Ultra 8R for flexible monitoring, sub-mixing tasks, and effects processing. Built-in MIDI I/O ensures you don't need an additional MIDI interface to complete your studio.

The M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R is compatible with most major recording software programs, so you can take advantage of its power no matter what your favorite DAW sequencer is. The Fast Track Ultra 8R ships bundled with a Lite copy of the award-winning Ableton Live software program, a favorite of songwiters, and electronic musicians for its useful looping capabilities and on-the-fly MIDI responsiveness.
