The Mackie HR824 Studio Reference Monitor just got better with the HR824mk2!

The Mackie HR824mk2 active studio monitors improve the originals with new features such as a solid aluminium Zero Edge baffle with optimized waveguide to give the Mackie HR824mk2 even more accurate and natural sound reproduction. Designed with high-definition audio in mind, the Mackie HR824mk2 monitor provides exeptional clarity for surround 5.1 and 7.1 applications, and an Acoustic Space Control function allows it to be adapted to any room and still provide maximum accuracy. Low-frequency roll-off and high-frequency shelf functions are also included on the HR824mk2. A rear-firing, mass-loaded 12 x 6-inch passive radiator ensures tight bass extension to 37Hz and helps prevent over-excursion of the woofer and avoids port wind-noise.

MACKIE HR824MK2 NEW BAFFLE DESIGN


The Mackie HR824mk2 features a Zero Edge baffle constructed from a solid piece of aluminum which minimizes edge diffraction and helps provide a clear sonic image, as well as tight bass response. An optimized waveguide disperses sound evenly for a wide listening sweet spot, as welll as providing robust mids. These improvements to the smooth frequency response and depth of field make the HR824mkII monitors sound better than ever.

MACKIE HR824MK2 ACOUSTIC SPACE CONTROL


An integrated Acoustic Space Control feature makes the Mackie Hr824MK2 monitors ideal for locations such as video post suites and home/project studios where studio space is limited. The Acoustic Space Control gives you full space, half-space, and quarter space settings, which adjusts the bass response depending on whether the HR824MKII are placed away from walls, against walls, or set up in corners. Low frequency roll-off and high frequency shelf functions are also switchable on the back panel.

MACKIE HR824MK2 BI-AMPED DESIGN AND TIME CORRECTION


The HR824mk2 features an 8.75-inch low-frequency woofer driven by 150-watts onboard FR Fast Recovery amplifier with low negative feedback for high dynamic distortion performance. The waveguide-loaded aluminum dome tweeter is powered with 100-watts, and an active crossover helps to eliminate phase anomalies through the crossover region. The HR824MKII also include time-correction circuitry, which allows the high and low frequency content to reach the listener at the same time, in the correct phase relationship for a stable stereo image.
