The M-Audio EX66 active monitors offer a balanced sound with good low frequency response, great stereo imaging and seperation, with a wide sweet spot to minimise interference from the room acoustics.

With MTM mid-tweeter-mid driver placement, the M-audio EX-66 nearfield studio monitors have a wide sweet spot and minimal room reflections colouring the nearfield frequency response. By aligning the woofers vertically, the vertical polar response is narrowed, reducing the amount of audio energy reflecting from the ceiling and mixing or work desk. Onboard DSP processing reduces enclosure resonance modes and optimizes the 4th-order Linkwitz-Riley crossover network for a smooth, transparent yet accurate frequency response. Front edges of the EX66 MDF cabinets are radiused to reduce edge difraction. The rear firing port on the M-Audio EX66 reduces audible port wind noise. Inputs are both balanced analogue XLR and 1/4" TRS as well as phono S/PDIF and XLR AES/EBU digital inputs at up to 24-bit/192kHz sample rates. Match the EX66 to your studio's acoustic space with the Acoustic Space switch with Full, Half, and Quarter positions allows placement in free space, close to a wall , or close to a corner. Low, Mid and High frequency control via 2-position switches.
