The Gibson SG Special Faded 3 Pickup guitar offers all the performance of Gibson's legendary SG line at an unique price. With three screaming Gibson 490 humbuckers, the same pickups offered on the top of the line Les Paul Supreme, the SG Special Faded 3 Pickup offers guitarists an unbelievable tonal spectrum to play. Master volume and master tone dial in the options presented by the versatile 6-position selector. Choose from combinations of bridge, bridge/middle, middle, middle/neck, or bridge/neck pickups.

Nothing can match the well-played look and feel of an classic Gibson SG from the 1960s or ’70s, except today’s Gibson SG Special Faded. The ”Worn“ finish make these guitars feel like old friends, while the three humbucking pickups bring the Gibson SG Special Faded to a level of performance the originals never had.

The Gibson 490R humbucker has a modern edge that delivers a more contemporary tonal range that's perfect for almost any style of music. The 490R, with its neck spaced pole pieces, is perfectly calibrated to match the 490T, which is spaced for the bridge position. Both employ Alnico II magnets for a super smooth frequency response.
