| The lawyers have been hovering for ages, waiting for soething to happen. They're still hovering, still waiting. In all the landmark cases, common carrier status has been pleaded and accepted *unless* the forum is fully moderated (that is to say posts are made, reviewed by a moderator, and *then* published - see the Transport 2000 site for one such). In a fully moderated forum, the act of review and then publishing sets the tone - the moderator publishes the post, not the poster. In an unmoderated forum (which is what this is, although it may be referred to as a post-moderated forum, indicative that moderation takes place after publication - the order is important) moderators cannot be held responsible for posts - they provide the mechanism for free flow of ideas, and it is the poster who publishes the piece. Further, no lawyer specialising in libel suits would consider a suit where the defence of "honestly held opinion" is obvious - neither would they consider taking on a penniless defendant unless the aim was to bankrupt. 'tis a wonderful world, the world of libel and defamation!! BTW, I wouldn't have worn the blatant advertising of hand-built amps by a third party - the post would have been vaped ASAP!! :-)

| As hifistudios said, that was exactly why I didn't post the name of a competitor. I was asking whether price matching was done at iMuso ... you have answered me. :bows deeply: I hope I didn't offend however - that was not my wish. As for iMuso's own pricing, I quite agree. In 99% of all items sold, iMuso's price is the same or lower than any other competitor ... you can see why I asked about the 1% though can't you? (And to hifistudios ... another editor! I must admit to only 11 years experience myself and I rather wish I had gone into law. With a law degree, I could make an absolute fortune out of publishing law!)

With a law degree, I could make an absolute fortune out of publishing law!) Oh, hell, yes! Specifically, Internet publishing - it has opened up a whole new can of worms. But, frankly, I'm rather more content moving all my efforts into the music world - true, there's not as much money around as there was, but it's a whole lot less stressful than the publishing world at the moment.

| At the risk of posting a reply to myself, I was very interested to come across www.musik-produktiv.de in the course of my search for, amongst other things, a Behringer DEQ2496 and a 24 up, 6 back stage snake.
Imagine my surpise to discover their pricing was precisely the same as iMuso's, except that their prices are in euros, and iMuso's in pounds. So, musik-productiv - 299 euros for the snake, iMuso £299.99.
And here's the funny bit - iMuso *is* music-productiv.
So, are they going to price match themselves??
:-)
