| Hi Spacehog,
For reasons way too painful to get into, my beloved Epi Les Paul is rusty in the kind of places a guitar should never be rusty. Lets just say that save for the pick-ups, if its metal its been affected. I'm going to replace what I can, but need to remove rust from screws etc.
Any idea what the safest and best method is? I tried applying a little Three-in-one oil with a soft toothbrush which helped a bit, but not as much as I'd hoped.

| You may as well replace the screws as well. Packs of scratchplate screws can be ordered from the same places as your bridge and tailpiece.

| Yeah I was thinking exactly that. I was planning on ordering the bridge and tailpiece from an eBay seller who doesn't do screws. But I'm sure I'll manage to track down a suppllier.
