Im looking for a single channel tube amp that I can drive hard enough at home to get a great classic rock sound but not blow the windows out or make me deaf, but also looking for the same amp to be able to step up to fill a rehearsal room/ small gig. Im considering an Orange Tiny terror and 1x12 but not sure if this may be too loud for home use when cranked. And Im not sure an Epi Junior would make the step up. Any ideas or advice on what to showcase is much appreciated. Cheers

I have the 5 watt valve junior head and a 1x12 cab, now for a small/medium gig as long as you can be miked up and put through the p.a its plenty loud enough, infact depending on how small small is, it may be enough on its own, however remember as a single channel low watt valve amp you will not! get a lot of clean headroom. In fact mine is loud enough that i invested in a THD hotplate to drop the volume when i crank it... but yeah depends on the size of venue and what PA equipment is available.
