| Going to start making music on my Apple Powerbook G4, not sure which Software
is the best and easiest to get my head around.... Reason 3.0 or Logic Express 7.2?
I'm a complete novice at this, so please any help most gratefully received.

| Only ever dealt with Garage Band and Logic, and Logic is better. It allows you to create a wonderful sound. However id get a few lessons in, because it can be tricky.

| Biggest question I have is what do you want to produce?
Reason 3 (or as it will be very shortly, Reason 4) is a complete, closed music-making environment. That makes it more compact and easy to get your head around, but recording your own audio is impossible within it.
Logix Express 7.2 (and now 8) is a much more flexible package for creating your own tracks. It is almost as powerful as the Pro version, but this in itself could have drawbacks. My bandmate uses both apps on an iMac, if that's any help!
