How do you get real valve sound in a guitar pedal? Use a real
valve, just like the VOX Valvetronix ToneLab LE Floor Modelling
Pedal.
The VOX Valvetonix ToneLab LE is the newest addition to VOX's
line of compact valve modelling and multi-effects processors.
The VOX ToneLab LE features models of 16 sought-after amps
ranging from rare vintage to high-end moderns, 11 classic and
modern cabinets, and 50 different effects, including new models
of metal, multi-tap chorus, two-tap delay, slap echo, and
"U-Vibe." The ToneLab LE contains 120 user programs, a new
global EQ, S/PDIF-out, an expression pedal and VOX Valve
Reactor real-valve power-amp circuitry for the sound, tone and
feel of all-valve amps from the VOX ToneLab LE.
New to the VOX Valvetronix ToneLab LE is an application
specific voiced four mode line output for direct recording and
live performance via a PA system with a Line 2 Amp/Line setting
with 3-band Master EQ modelled on one of the classic live
mixers of all times which allows EQing the ToneLab LE to match
a specific room or sound system. Maybe begins with a "M"? New
effects include an extreme gain Metal Distortion, a slap delay,
a two tap delay with tap tempo, and a multi-tap chorus for
center, left and right outputs. And a S/PDIF output has been
added to the ToneLab LE.
The VOX Valvetonix ToneLab LE contains 120 Program Memories
where amp, cab, and effect settings can be saved. Each program
saves an A and B channel settings. The ToneLab LE has 40 preset
programs with classic settings for each modelled amp. A
built-in expression pedal can control wah, volume, and various
effects parameters such as delay times, modulation speeds or
depths. QuiickAssign function makes it easy to assign a
parameter at one touch. A built-in Chromatic Tuner features an
independent LED display and mute function for silent on-stage
tuning.
The VOX Valve Reactor circuit featured in the Vox ToneLab LE
uses a 12AX7 dual triode valve, a virtual output transformer,
and a dummy speaker circuit that simulates the reactive load of
a specific speaker. The Valve Reactor circuit reconfigures
itself to emulate the circuitry of the modelled amp, providing
the sound, feel and dynamics of that specific valve amp.
