Founded in 1967 Laney celebrates their 40th anniversary with the Laney L20H Lionheart series head amp, representing everything Laney has learned in 40 years of valve guitar amplifier manufacturing.

The hand wired Laney L20H Lionheart head amp outputs 20-watts of pure parallel Class-A single ended power with three 12AX7 preamp valves and four EL84 output valves: the harder you drive it the better the the L20H sounds. Gold plated printed circuit boards, output jacks, both Hi and Low gain inputs,and sealed gold contact relays mean realiability and minimum interference with your sound. Two footswichable channels, Clean and Drive. Clean with Bright switch adding brightness and life to the treble frequencies. Drive sets the valve preamp for a dirtier sound, from a crisp bluesy lead tone to punchy hard rock lead. Passive musical 3-way EQ, Tone control for bright sounds at high settings and smooth rounded sounds at lower settings. Hi gain input for single coils or low gain humbuckers, and Lo with about 50% of the Hi's gain for high gain humbucker pickups and for the cleanest full range sound. Built-in Sound Enhancements Accutronics spring reverb for classic guitar reverb sound, Effects Loop Send and Return for external rack mount effects such as delays, chorus and tremolos. The included Laney FS2 footswitch allows you to remotely switch between Clean and Drive channels and switch the Reverb on/off. The Laney L20H Lionheart head amp has it all. Plug into the matching Laney LT-212 guitar cabinet for the ultimate Laney guitar tone.

Parallel single-ended class-A circuitry means the 4 EL84 output valves are wired in parallel to one side of the L20H output transformer's primary. The other side of the transformer primary is wired to the power supply. While giving less output power than the alternative push-pull circuitry, single-ended class-A produces more even order harmonics when over-driven. A great advantage to guitar players as even order harmonics provide the rich tone associated with classic class-a valve guitar amps.
