Overview
The Epiphone Inspired by 1964 Texan is an electro-acoustic
guitar with classic styling that's ready to gig. The Epiphone
Texan has been the choice of musicians including Paul
McCartney, Peter Frampton and Noel Gallagher. McCartney wrote
and performed Yesterday on his 1964 Texan.
This Epiphone Historical Collection electro-acoustic guitar was
inspired by the 1964 Texan acoustic featuring a solid spruce
top and solid mahogany back to a deliver full, rich tone. The
Epiphone Inspired by 1964 guitar's one-piece 25-1/2" scale
mahogany neck is secured with a glued in neck dovetailed neck
joint and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. Proper tuning
is guaranteed with vintage tuners with small buttons. The
Epiphone Inspired by 1964 electro-acoustic guitar's rosewood
reversed belly bridge has a traditional bone saddle. The Shadow
Nanoflex pickup and preamp system is made for high quality, all
solid wood guitars and features Volume, Bass, and Treble
control, Phase invert switch and EQ-shape switch.
The advanced jumbo body style acoustic guitar provides a richer
bass response than a dreadnought style due to the jumbo's
larger interior volume. In fact Gibson instruduced the jumbo
body style with the Gibson J-200 in response to Martin's
D-style dreadnought acoustic guitars.
